The first laptop to use Intel's upcoming Coffee Lake platform has appeared on a French e-commerce site. The Acer Swift 3 appears to use a 15W i5-8250U CPU billed as "Quad-Core". If the i7's will be hyper-threaded as Intel's HQ-series are, this will be a major step forward for ultraportable computing power.

There were quite a few 35W-37W Intel mobile quad-cores before.  From memory, anything in the Haswell era that had a part number ending in a 02 or 12 such as the i7-4712.  Also, most quad cores supported programmable TDP since the Haswell era (perhaps even earlier), and any quad core at 45 or 47W can be programmed down to 37W or 35W.

see the image below:
it was supposed to be quad core
the more interesting thing is that the H series will be 6 core cpu

Hitting raven ridge before its appearance. AMD, you take your sweet time too long.

How could the spec be true? It says it only comes with 45w power supply. It should be 60w at least.
