Just recycling? Apple did not even hold a keynote for its latest tablet model. All we got was a press release. We think: That's enough for the Apple iPad (2017), because it is a very good tablet – and finally for a fair price.

This probably one of the best review sites around with comprehensive information about the tablets that interest me. Unfortunately, based on this review I decided tobuy a new ipad 2017. What I got and what is represented in this review are two totally different things. To wit:
this item feel very cheaply made
there is consistent and unforgivable gameplay stutter- wgt golf, stickman, angry birds, simple not intensive games at that. - the same games run flawlessly on a 6 yr old ipad 2 and 2 yr old mini retina.
indoors with normal nighttime lighting the screen is horrible glare, high contrast, black levels are washed out and there is no reasonable compromise with brightness adjustments.
this new ipad is not good value and as a matter of fact overpriced and overrated. An ipad air 2 is twice the tablet and available now for half the price. For some reason the ipad air 2 was panned for having poor performance  among other things on this sites review.
Think what you will, just don't be surprised that your "update" to your old outdated ipad turns out tobe a raging disappointment.
btw, the old ipad 2 still lasts for 9 hrs. the new ipad 11 hrs. big deal? not so much
