Trimmed for performance. For extremely demanding gamers that find the performance of the 17-inch bolide G752 (GeForce GTX 1060 & GTX 1070) insufficient, Asus offers the G701, which is equipped with Nvidia's top-of-the-line model, the GeForce GTX 1080. We put the overclocked high-end notebook through its paces.

Here is another conclusion where the text contradicts the test results.

Your HWinfo64 screenshot shows it is thermal throttling in your Prime95/Furmark test but you write this:
"Furthermore, the G701 has to be given credit for never throttling. The Core i7-7820HK attains approximately 3.1 GHz, excepting some short drops to 800 MHz that only last a fraction of a second."

The cpu dropping to 800MHz is clearly throttling (thermal or otherwise), no matter how short it is (at deafult HWInfo64 only samples every 2 seconds, so if it detects throttling you can rest assured that it was clearly throttling).

BTW most mobile CPUs are set to thermal throttle at 99/100C, so that matches with the CPU temps in HWMonitor of the same screenshot.
