Overall this is a very usable system for a home-office worker doing emails, word documents and the occasional Skype call. It's no good for games.
Two very annoying glitches:
(1) The HDMI port does NOT work out of the box with all Type D HDMI cable because the tolerances on these cables are too variable. You need to buy an HDMI Type D to Type A adapter and then plug a standard Type A HDMI cable into that. Very annoying, cost me 4 or 5 hours research to figure it out and a trip to the hardware store. Lost about two weeks' use as a result.
(2) The wifi is no doubt standard, but very unreliable in practice. If you go to work in a lot of coffee shops and airport lounges, expect your Apple iPhone to log on in all of them and this laptop in about half. I use the Personal Hotspot on my iPhone to daisy-chain the laptop on to wifi so I have a workaround but it is slow and annoying to set up. I have no idea how to fix this and I'm not going to try, but it is a deal-breaker and no more Lenovos for me.
