Isn't 30 degrees the temperature of your hand, reflected in the shiny surface?
You can clearly see a reflection of someone holding a camera, so you're not actually measuring the temperature of the surface.
You need to hang up a sheet, and make a hole in it to poke the lens through!
Try measuring the temperature of a mirror ...
