Surface Potential... Lenovo's first Surface-style ThinkPad device has a lot of great ideas. Can it translate those into a cohesive, practical product for the everyday business user?

Linux

One important point as an owner of the X1 Tablet: It works perfectly and out of the box running Ubuntu Linux 16.04.

I don't get it: inside there seems to be an M.2 slot for a WWAN card + something that looks like a micro-SIM slot? But on the inside?

So what are you supposed to do - open the tablet to change SIM? Could they not have put SIM slot + micro-SD card reader on the edge like so many tablets?

I'm curious how this compared to the m5 version as far as performance and heat.   I can't find any head to head comparisons... or even anyone that could confirm if the m5 TDP was 7w or lowered.    The 2nd gen device review on notebookcheck was an m5 and it was longer lived.
