13-inch luxury. The Surface Book is challenging the traditional notebook with its one-of-a-kind design. However, it's still missing a few core features to truly put it above the current competition.

Your original review also makes no mention of upgradability for the SSD for the 13" Macbook Pro with Retina (early 2015):

Also according to iFixit, the Macbook Pro 13" early 2015, uses a proprietary PCIe SSD, not an upgradeable M2 form factor.

Interesting how higher TDP of the CPU cannot provide higher sustained performance, due to heat I guess.

Is comparing an Apple device to a Windows device that useful?
The biggest question for me is "Do my productivity apps run on this machine" and for me in terms of Apple OS, the answer is no. The comparison stops at that point. Not knocking Apple of course, for many the answer will be the opposite, but how many people will be approaching the buying journey without a care for the operating system they will be restricted to?

It would have been better to use the Dell XPS 13 with the UltraSharp QHD+ display because it has a more comparable resolution ( 3200 x 1800).

The Surface book wins screen by miles on nearly all aspects, by a pinch on others, yet it's a draw with crapple falling short on nearly all?
How's that touch screen doing by the way?
