European car buyers are increasingly going electric. BEVs and PHEVs now command a combined market share of more than 30%, surpassing gasoline- and diesel-only vehicles. Tesla and Chinese automakers such as BYD and Leapmotor are leading the surge, while German carmakers continue to lose significant market share.
