CATL's new sodium battery lasts 30 years and is already replacing lithium in grid storage

CATL and Dutch firm Alfen have announced a deal to deploy 5 GWh of Tener Sodium battery systems across Europe from 2027. Rated for 15,000 cycles and a 30-year service life, the system easily outlasts lithium iron phosphate alternatives.
