Is $20 Casio F-91W a steal or just a "Heritage Tax"? Outclassed by MRW-100H and AE-1200, the legend's value is under fire nowadays. We explore why this icon might be overpriced - and why enthusiasts still keep giving it a nod of approval.

I had my F-91W lying around for like 10 years and the wrist band fell/dissolved off the hinges. I did not wear it once (I don't wear watches, feels like being a slave).

Quoteterrible light
I agree, the light is barely visible even when the eyes adapt to the darkness (and I do not have a Vitamin A deficiency ;)) and the light button is also kinda hard to press and one has to keep pressing the (small and inconvenient) light button. Why not at least change and improve this one thing.

Quotebecause it weighs almost nothing (21 grams!)
Exactly and it's flat and small. Also, of course, always shows the time and runs off a single battery for like 10+ years.

Quoteworld time for 31 time zones, and a world map display.
Who needs that world map, it just takes valuable space on the display..how about removing the world map and e.g. making the time font bigger and putting something else on the area instead (just making the time font bigger would probably be better).
