Hmm system that may go for 1k to 1500 v a system that is expected to be under 800. Of course the more expensive 1 going to have better performance. Consoles need to be lower then high end pcs but with the capabilities to play the same games that look comparable to games played on Hugh end pcs. Pc is and always will be more expensive.

There is no way this is the next gen of consoles. Underpowered, low end hardware that will have released to consumers and be in desktops by the time they launch. |

I understand Microsoft's situation. They hamstrung themselves with the Series S and they commitment to games being on both. Releasing a Console/PC hybrid would make sense as they can catch up to Sony's PS5 Pro, and based on these specs, that's what it does and then a little more. Not a lot more, though. It almost feels like a Dreamcast situation, as they have been losing the hardware front. Toss in a better, faster, modest to next gen system and you are back in the hardware game, then can move onto legit naming the Xbox after that Xbox 7 to match Sony's PS7.

Sony? I would sooner believe the specs are for a handheld hybrid and they want to get in on that Nintendo cash. Makes sense. The specs make sense as well for a handheld. 3 P cores, 8 E-cores. Nice and power friendly. With the GPU tile on a very power efficient node, yes, I can see that. I can't see this being their next gen console though. It's too little too soon.
