Old Tesla HW3 vehicles won't be added to the Robotaxi platform

Elon Musk promised that legacy Tesla vehicles with the old HW3 FSD computer may be retrofitted with the HW4 goods to run unsupervised FSD, if necessary. That promise is quite far away, it seems, at least when it comes to the Robotaxi platform.

I can't and won't trust a car company led by a man that repeatedly lies publicly.  It's a car.  I just want to get from point a to b.  If he's lying about x that we know about, what about y that we don't?

The thing is, FSD isn't ready, and it doesn't have to be.  There's plenty of time for it to get there eventually.  He didn't have to lie at all about it, just saying "the car will evolve over time," and that would be truth and would still likely sell lots of cars.

I honestly don't even WANT a car with FSD, or many automated functions. I enjoy driving.  I enjoy paying attention to driving.

It's really unfortunate.  Tesla is the classic American story of arrogance and hubris.

Stop whining, man. No one is taking driving away from you. Autonomy (Tesla or not) will let a lot of people get from A to B who can't drive or don't want a human to waste their time taking them. Get over yourself.
