A new report now claims that Samsung rejected three proposals made by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang in 2018. The proposals were reportedly about joint HBM production, cooperation on Samsung Foundry to develop new process nodes, and CUDA software development.

NVIDIA's market capitalization is partly due to their AI accelerator cards, sure. But the biggest reason they are as important as they are is CUDA. They have the best parallelization software on the planet, which works best with their accelerators of course.

I guess you could put this in more perspectives if you know the context that CEO of the company was in legal turmoil and was in risk of being jailed, thus blocking many expenditures that cost fortune and yet could prove useful in the long run
