The Logitech G Cloud is nearing its third year anniversary, and a major update has made the cloud streaming handheld a much better device than it was at launch. Combine that with a discount on Amazon, and the G Cloud is worth considering.

So the $64 question is that even at the discounted $260 price how does this compare to the nearly countless 'Retro Gaming Handhelds' that may offer both newer Android versions as well as beefier hardware under the hood for same or less costs?

Yeah it's a tough sell especially when anybody could just buy a usb-c or Bluetooth controller and achieve the same thing with their phone. I think if it had an OLED screen and at least a capable Snapdragon chip for emulation, it then becomes an interesting device.

I picked one up year and a half ago while recovering from a torn Achilles. Granted it was used and only cost $199, but worth every penny. Once you setup moonlight you now have your full gaming pc everywhere you go that has wifi. It becomes a portable remote pc terminal. I had access to all my documents, emails, tabs, games and more without logging into 10 apps. Emulation is great but this device is for streaming your already owned consoles and pc to you. I can play God of War in a Doctors office. Not a mobile version, the whole real game at 60 fps 1080p. I can then go on vacation and plug it into the hotel tv with one cable and play Resident Evil Village then stream netflix then go to that tab you opened on your home pc about discount tickets to an amusment park. And the battery life is honestly absurd 8 hours minimum and I didn't have to charge a separate controller. Don't want to move your console to another room because someone is on that TV, sit in bed and play. Wish it was on the office room tv just plug in the hdmi to usbc. It really is freeing to sit on the patio and play a game rather than stuck inside. Again I know you can do this thru your phone I own a physical steam link and used the app prior but this just works better and your not killing your phone battery.
