The newly announced TCL 57R94 is an absolute behemoth of a gaming monitor featuring a 57-inch curved HVA panel with an ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio. It also boasts mini-LED backlight capable of delivering an impressive peak HDR brightness of 1,200 nits.

Anything at that refresh rate or above is a gaming monitor, there's almost no use for it besides gaming, and it's enough for competitive gaming even ranked matches as long as your pc can handle 8k.

Impressive. However, I would prefer they focus this pixel count instead into a 5K 16:10 (5120 × 3200) monitor.

7,680 * 2,160 = 16,588,800
5,120 * 3,200 = 16,384,000

I have owened many TCL tvs in the past 5 years. Within 1 year each of them had backlight issues after replacing them the driver went out. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING TCL. TCL does not honor their warranty neither does the seller when you purcase extra insurance.

TCL is notorious for lying about their screens stats. They were caught listing tvs as 120 fps, but they were actually 60fps. While I have enjoyed their budget friendly products... when it comes to high end gaming there is no way I would ever trust them.

No DP 2.1 ports or 240 Hz? Seems like a worse version of the Neo G9 with speakers slapped on. No thanks.
