Gamers waiting for the Switch 2 release date can turn to the Nintendo Today! app for news. Nintendo is seeking to keep updates exclusive to the app by preventing screen captures. The company frequently takes legal action to prevent the sharing of copyrighted media.

You don't even need to do that. Just run an Android emulator on PC and screen record your PC. Or if you have a phone with Displayport output just hook that up to a capture card.

The fact that Nintendo thinks we need an app to get news about their stuff just shows how behind the curve their corporate leadership constantly is. Nintendo already has a social media presence and multiple websites, just use those.
