Solar parks with gigantic dimensions are particularly worthwhile in dry, inhospitable areas with many hours of sunshine. A study using weather models shows that the dark areas have an even greater effect on the environment.

It is not a positive effect. There is a reason why we have tech to "call a rain" for a long while, but use it only rarely on specific occasions.

I just watched a video on how covering the Sahara in solar panels would change the climate and likely kill the amazon rainforest. Dangerous to play eith climate like that.

So if we cover the UK in solar panels it might take some of the rain from Ireland. It's win win really 😅
