Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs Dimensity 9300: Vivo X100 edges out the OnePlus 12 in AnTuTu's latest performance chart

AnTuTu's latest performance chart lists the OnePlus 12 as the best-performing Android device in the world. A closer look at the numbers says otherwise, however, with the Vivo X100 and its MediaTek 9300 outperforming the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in both the CPU and GPU tests.

Qualcomm snapdragon 8 gen 3 and media Tek dimensity 9300 are both powerful and high quality chips for mobile devices. While the dimensity 9300 may have slightly higher performance numbers than 8 gen 3 in some areas,for now I prefer sticking with Qualcomm since they're currently the most established and reputable SoC manufacturer, as for the future things may change since media Tek may match or exceed Qualcomm for reputability, only time will tell. Oh one more thing worth mentioning, currently the majority of softwares are better optimized for Qualcomm than Media Tek.

I can't agree with your last statement.The majority of software and apps are not optimized for either Qualcomm or MediaTek platform, if there were any. APPs run on Google's Android OS and are optimized for Android. From Market share point of view, IDC publishes show MediaTek's overall chipset market share is actually bigger than Qualcomm, both globally and here in US. Of course, both MediaTek and Qualcomm saythey are working with game developers to enhance the Ray-Tracing effect on certain games, which is only for a few games. And MediaTek is actually leading the ray tracing as the first to introduce it to Mobile phone platform.
