Intel shows XeSS performance boost for Meteor Lake iGPU running Dying Light 2

Unfortunately, Intel is not showing exact fps counts, probably because it is still working to improve driver performance before the December launch. Still, we can see that XeSS, Team Blue's super sampling solution is almost 2x faster than native rendering and the iGPU has a slightly lower TDP compared to native 1080p rendering.

1.6x perf increase, with 30% more GPU core, lower process node, and upscaling.

Are we supposed to be impressed ?

In titles that won't support XeSS (aka almost all of them), the perf increase will probably be more like +20% compared to raptor lake.

Afaik this video is only about XESS (upscaling). Right side with XESS, left side without. But both are using the same Meteor Lake iGPU (not an Intel Iris iGPU).

That being said, the video isn't really what people want to see. We want to see real FPS and real comparison to the previous Intel Iris iGPU. Hopefully Intel makes another video in the upcoming weeks. The whole development has become a bit tiring to follow...
