I really don't understand the OEMs when it's internal they put the latest processor and when it's AMD they put an old processor.
This laptop will sell very poorly because it does not have what everyone is asking and demanding in many professional forums: AMD ZEN 4 7040 Phoenix.
The Zen 4 Phoenix is compatible with: DDR5 + HDMI 2.1 + USB4.0 +PCI 4.1 + RDNA 3 + Artificial intelligence
Let's not forget that the AMD chip is manufactured at 4nm and the Intel chip at 10nm+++, producing more heat and more energy consumption.
I don't understand why OEMs don't release ultrabooks with AMD ZEN 4 when there are already hundreds of handheld consoles with ZEN 4 Phoenix.

Why didn't the put a larger battery? It's a large notebook AND there is unused space in the case. I swear, these manufacturers are only trying to get our money without making any real progress.

Also, I had the chance to try out an e14 the other day. They keyboard was a rattling mess compared to my t495. It was noisy and clacky, extremely cheap impression. Are all lenovo keebs like that now?

Typical contrast for this panel is 1200:1, not 1600:1+:
www.panelook.com/MNG007DA1-C_CSOT_16.0_LCM_overview_57659.html
Moreover, CSOT is known for a sharp drop in contrast at brightness levels below the maximum, especially below 50%, which is what is really working in the home and office. Literally times the maximum stated. I don't believe it's 1600:1+, it's unrealistic. Especially in a cheap series.

Otherwise, the processor is extremely outdated by more than 2 years Zen3. Although the performance against the background of Intel products, even the 13 series, is good.

Despite the fact that Zen3 has native support for HDMI 2.0b, Lenovo again cruelly released only the antique 1.4b. Thus, depriving buyers of the opportunity to quickly connect a laptop without adapters to a 4K TV at 60Hz in 4:4:4 and use it as a monitor (for example, in a hotel or at a meeting).

The RAM configuration from the factory is idiotic - a hybrid mode is used - dual-channel for 8+8 and single-channel for the upper 8GB. Which immediately had an extremely negative effect in the PhotoWorxx AIDA64 CPU test, as always with a shameful 13747 MPixel/s, against the background of more than 30,000 MPixel/s (and sometimes 40,000) from Intel in the 12-13 series. Moreover, even Zen4 Phoenix, which belongs here, is significantly inferior to Intel controllers in terms of memory bandwidth.

If, of course, you believe the assurances of the review, it is at least quite, but again there are doubts with such performance.

QuoteOur video test runs for 11:44h and the Wi-Fi test for 11:17h, which are very good results
Now compare the same with Intel versions at 4k@60fps on YouTube, even with a 2018 Intel processor - the defeat of the AMD processor will be complete.

Stop writing this nonsense.
Zen4 Phoenix is NOT compatible, but has 2 x USB40, 2 x USB Gen 3.2 10Gbps (-A/-C depends on how it is routed out) and 4 x USB2.0 built into the SoC. Full HDMI 2.1 and 1/2 full DP2.0(UHBR10, not 20)

And also support for 256GB of memory for the first time in x86, but unfortunately, memory sticks for 64 and 128GB are not yet on sale, so the limit is still 64GB, as in Zen4 and older SoCs.

Find me one single laptop under 1000€ with 7040. Just one, please. Link it here. One, nothing else, it can be on a sale/discount too. I wish to see that mythical unicorn. This one is under 1000€ and it's a ThinkPad with definitely better build quality than average laptop in this same price range.

They are not. That E14 was probably defective or you just got used to a much better quality of your laptop which is a member of a higher T series; E is the lowest series in the ThinkPad line, so the cheapest everything. L is a step higher, T is another step above both E and L and it's incomparable in quality with E because it is much better in all aspects. Then you get X to be even higher than T and finally X1 and Z. There are also workstations (P14s/P16s as respective and almost identical equivalent of their T14/T16 variants), P1 and P.

What's the point of not reading one whole sentence but quoting just a part of it directly to the answer on your question?

Quote"Even with the Best performance power profile, the fan rarely starts spinning during regular use and even if it is running, you can only hear a very quiet murmur."
