There is a new electric vehicle sales runner-up after the leader China, and it is the United States which surpassed Germany to become the world's second biggest EV market. China still holds the lion's share of EV sales with 56% of the total, though.

End of the day if not for Tesla, other automakers would still be snubbing EVs. And it is true that at the moment Tesla gives the best EV experience, even more so in the US where we have NACS which is a much better network in both size and reliability

I grant than CEOs are generally s*** people, but Musk is well beyond your run of the mill CEO. He is a malignant narcissist, a charlatan, and completely devoid of empathy. No redeemable qualities as a human being what so ever. He's just Trump for millennials. He's a stupid person's idea of a genius just like Trump is a poor person's idea of a self made billionaire. If you want to support the shitstain, have fun in your Tesla that is falling apart. Just buy a clown suit while you are at it. That is how you look to everyone else already.

The only difference is that he uses twitter more than the other CEOs, otherwise again no real difference. As for comparing with Trump, the only similarity is their use of twitter. Trump got all his money from his father and after multiple bankruptcies the only thing he has to his name is his name. Musk actually built multiple companies to where they are today. All of which are pushing man kind forward.

Tesla isn't only the best selling EV in US, it is best selling EV in Europe as well. And Europeans hate American cars so that says something. Their sales are also going up so not sure where they are falling apart.

Let me ask you this question, how many car CEOs use an EV as their daily driver before it hits the streets? or even after? Tesla so far is the only one who has put some effort not just into maximizing range but into the experience. Of course as time goes by, I'd imagine other car companies will pick up their game and start having it required that all executives ride an EV so that they know where to improve the user experience. We are getting there, but aren't there yet.

As for the nonsense of federal government and their subsidies. For most of Tesla's early years their sales was the Model S where the subsidy was what 10%? That isn't enough to make or break it considering the price. And by the time Model 3 came out, the subsidy was pretty much gone. Tesla went quite a few years with their competitors getting subsidies and they didn't. Yet Tesla sales grew rapidly, not shrank.
