Edifier's latest wireless headphones are touted as having an upgrade to the LDAC codec and certified Hi-Res Audio. Their "high capacity" battery is rated for nearly 50 hours of battery life, and recharges via USB type-C. The W820NB Plus are also touted as delivering high-quality audio with a form of active noise cancellation (ANC), yet start for well under US$100.

"The OEM touts its "transmission bandwidth" of up to 990 kilobits per second (kb/s) as an advantage in streaming high bit-rate audio from a connected device over Bluetooth 5.2."

Terrible misleading false information crap like this - I don't fault the crooked companies for their continued marketing trickery for its products' PR, etc. but I most definitely hold FULL accountability to sites like this one for not calling this crap for what it is... which it is just a staight-up lie and BS for the uninformed.

"**up to 990 kilobits per second (kb/s)** as an advantage in streaming high bit-rate audio"

IOW, not even a stable (very variable) 990 bitrate, folks (more than likely in the range ~450-700 depending on content)!!

I mean... this statement is extremely insulting to anyone that enjoys any audio, not just audiophiles.

CD LOSSLESS bitrate ranges ~1,400-ish Kb/s (~1.4Mb/s), so, how in the heck is this FAKE label HQ mess fall in the same sentence in "high bitrates?!"

If they are willing to fake it here, well, you can bet on the lake, and win, that this company is also super shady somewhere else in their portfolio too.

Very long winded and missguided statement by someone apparently woefully unfamiliar with this technology. I have 3 personal LDAC 990 devices made by different manufacturers and all hold 990 constantly. In testing they hold 990 until about 25ft from the device.
I get it you hate wireless but at least don't misslead people into thinking your correct.
