In the process of updating the article. But that's just flickering and technically not PWM.

$400-500 used to be average of top end tablets, how times change...

I personally don't see the value of spending anything more than $250 on a tablet as it is mostly a consumption device. Can you even take advantage of the better processors in real life usage?

And its specially tough as Apple has a more robust product, with a more robust ecosystem, and is more affordable.

The iPad 9 remains in the $250 range and features a A13 that is comparable to the Mediatek 9000 in the OnePlus Pad.

Oh the other hand, the iPad Air is no featured around $450/500 and plays in a whole new league with its M1 processor, a much more mature iPad OS, and longer software support.

I still don't get Google's strategy. They abandon the Tablet market, then they return; while not giving the Chromebook Tablet enough support as well. It's a mess. A OnePlus Pad with ChromeOS would be so tempting, given the Dimensity 9000; but apparently only Kompanios run ChromeOS, and there's no flagship-grade Kompanio yet.

Why there's no 8cx Gen 3 for Samsung Android Tablets? That would be the ultimate iPad Pro competitor. Instead Qualcomm leaves Samsung to "compete" the Laptop-Grande Flagship M2 with a smartphone-grade Samsung-node-notched 8 Gen 1. The state of the ChromeOS/Android Tablets is bad, and there's no drive even to compete anymore.

The screen brightness is disappointing for such mobile device. it should be at least 700 nits for outside use.

Ars Technica and Android Police reported issues with text trails/smears which scrolling. Is it the same here?

Why can't manufacturers abandon these stroboscopes? I'm starting to believe that they are intentionally want to damage our eyes. Thanks oneplus, but I don't need health issues

You may encounter it occasionally depending on the app since there's no way to force the OS to stick to 144 Hz.

More the merrier I guess. But not many offer a holistic experience like the Galaxy Tab or the iPad. The major thing holding them back is Android itself. ChromeOS on tablets would be a great addition, but then again it has to rely on for Android for many apps.

Well OnePlus is a new enter in the Android tablet market, also Google has now the Pixel tablet so i would not say that is an active market.

Also many other manufacturers  TCL, Lenovo, Xiaomi others have got new models.
