A new leak says the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will sport 2 Nuvia Phoenix I cores and 6 Phoenix M cores, resulting in single and multi-core Geekbench scores of 2,070 and 9,100, respectively. The AP will be launched sometime in 2024.

We're still early in the life cycle of Gen 2, and they're already telling us to skip gen 3? 😁

That's it. I'm going to wait until 8gen4 hits the Galaxy S(?) Ultra and skip the current iteration.

Regarding the Qualcomm snapdragon 8 gen 4 chip article, isn't it way too premature to be making those predictions? Information on the upcoming 8 gen 3 chip is cloudy at best  and will need time to get a clearer prediction of what's to come.

You a good point there. Why are they discussing 8 gen 4 when information on 8 gen 3 is still cloudy at best and will need a couple of months until things become more clear?

It's not that premature.

It's premature in the sense that we are early in the Gen 2's cycle. However, its not premature at all for the Gen 4 as would be the first gen using Nuvia's IP, and that has been commented since 2021 at least, its surprising we don't have more information available.
