Intel announced in early 2022 that 14th gen Meteor Lake CPUs will debut in 2023. Based on the 7 nm Intel 4 process, the CPU tiles on Meteor Lake chips are reported to prioritize efficiency alongside delivering 15-28% IPC uplift for "Redwood Cove" P-cores and >15% IPC gain for "Crestmont" E-cores. The latest rumor now alleges that Meteor Lake will soundly beat Raptor Lake in terms of performance/watt.

Ive been saying this for years that Intel is 2 nodes behind and the only reason dumb entites like Apple talk about PPW is because they are architecturally behind by years, they just used a smaller node process 5 vs 10 in most cases.

The die shrink on 14th gen from the new node process will ENSURE the increased PPW over 13th gen.

Its not a "maybe, we'll see" or "that's what Intel says"

Its a fundamental function of the physical properties.

It doesn't matter who shrinks die, any CPU on a smaller node process is more efficient on ppw.

Ya'll should learn these basics before writing articles.

Except that the 7940HS has been out for a few months (albeit in a limited number of laptops in mini PCS), whereas Meteor Lake won't be available for a few more months.
