Google reportedly intends to start blocking the installation of apps that have been developed for older versions of Android soon. These changes are slated to come into effect with the next major upgrade to the operating system, and is touted to enhance security both on and off the Play Store.

If Google actually wanted to curb malware, they should start by cleaning up the Play Store from so much trash.

This is more a move to control what you can do with your device, which is a huge no from me.

Starting with version 10, Google has removed access to record conversations from the line in the standard Phone application. And then removed access to the recording api from the line, even in third-party applications. Only manufacturers who have included this in the firmware allow this (with a mandatory write warning). Or rooting the firmware (which immediately leads to problems with financial transactions on the smartphone - online banking, etc.)

In fact - the last normal android - version 9. Anything above is deliberately degraded crap, limiting the possibilities of users and carrying NOTHING useful in ordinary life - neither security nor new features. NOTHING.
