Asus will be moving away from the awkward soldered and removable hybrid approach on some Zephyrus models moving forward. The new Zephyrus M16 models will instead have 2x SODIMM slots for more freedom in end-user upgradeability.

Why is no one talking about the fact that so many laptop only have 1 M2 slot ? Actual content creation and gaming laptops limited to 1 or 2 TB, is this 2014 ? wtf is this s***...

4GB NVMe drives exist. The Flow X16 has two slots and is the definition of a hybrid content creation and gaming laptop.

The author deliberately misleads readers that de Asus soldered 8GB due to a lack of supplies, despite the fact that in reality. they thus deliberately limited the series, at the marketing level. Installing 16GB instead of 8GB in a soldered slot cost almost nothing even in 2021, against the backdrop of the price of the entire laptop. They were just trying to sell customers obsolete 8GB memory modules, which otherwise would simply be impossible to sell at retail.
