Lenovo is equipping the Yoga Book 9i thin and light Yoga Book 9i convertibles with dual-13-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreens, up to an i7-1355U Intel Raptor Lake ULV processor, 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1 TB NVMe SSD storage and no less than three Thunderbolt 4 ports.

Very disappointing to see how big it is. I was hoping for a return of the original/C930 Yoga Book form factor with a 10" or 11" (narrow bezel) display and a total device width of around 10" (the C930 Yoga Book was only 10.25" wide).

This 9i Yoga Book looks unwieldly with how large it is. It's also lost all the wonderful portability that was so amazing with the original Yoga Books.

TBH.. if this was two screens that together made a 13.3" screen (or maybe a 15.6" screen) I'd be all over it. But two 13.3" screens makes for a clumsy and awkward portable.

You guys have a weird definition of 'big' or 'clumsy'. Imho 13" is too small, I would prefer this with two 16" 16:10 screens!

At long last, the Surface Neo that Microsoft never built. As someone who currently use an LG V50 with its detachable Dual Screen case, I am definitely putting this on my wish list.

10.5" or 11" would be the right definition of small. 13" is not much different than what you got from the likes of Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+, Apple iPad Pro 12.9, and Lenovo Yoga Tab 13.

From the perspective of a musician who hates lugging around books and binders for sheet music, I would have loved to see a larger 16" version (and make the battery even bigger while they're at it). Bonus would be a more square-ish screen (4:3 or 3:2), but 16:10 is a step in the right direction as a literal binder replacement.

Just curios, is a large ebook reader no alternative for you?

A large screen e-reader would be great because of the battery life improvements on e-ink displays. I would love to try a dual screen e-ink thing if one were to exist. I can't speak for other musicians, but to me as a piano player, I value reducing the number of page turns a lot. Slower pieces are alright, but with fast paced music the page turns happen too quickly. I tried borrowing an android tablet from a family member as pdf viewer for sheet music, but it didn't feel too great working with a single screen compared to what I'm used to. It's not a compromise that I'm willing to make.

I've considered getting a normal laptop and then attaching a portable monitor to get some more screen real-estate, but that's a second thing and more weight to lug around. Another thing on the list of ideas was a foot pedal for page turning, which I haven't tried yet.
