Released alongside the Ryzen 5 5500 in early April this year, the Ryzen 5 5600 had a launch price of US$199. The Amazon list price has the same value right now, but the ongoing 41% discount brings it down to a wallet-friendly US$118. Two processor & motherboard bundles are also available for around US$320.

As practice has shown, AMD motherboards are always much more expensive than the same Intel version in terms of class. As a result, it turns out that the sum of prices for the processor + motherboard comes out the same with apparent savings on the processor compared to Intel.
