Apple has given its biggest tablet a mild upgrade and the new M2 processor. However, other improvements are far and few between. Read our review to find out what else is new and whether upgrading to the new tablet is worthwhile.

obscene pricing...

It's still just a tablet with a castrated OS, and it cost as much as a full laptop lol

"obscene pricing..."

Indeed, it's pure logic. As long as, from Apple's perspective, enough people buy their iPads to the offered prices, as long as Apple would be stupid (regarding profit maximization) not to take that money.

Unfortunately for Apple's bosses and its investors, that time is over. Their target audience is rapidly declining along with the elimination of the "middle class". As is usually the case in such cases, at first prices rise in an attempt to squeeze the same profit from more prosperous buyers, but then the line is simply curtailed.

A "mini-led" display? So it's an LCD screen with IPS technology with mini-led backlight? Why do you make it sound like some type of panel technology when mini-led is just the backlight type? Apple marketing? (RETINA!)

The [Screen flickering / PWM detected] indicator of this iPad Pro 2022 is 6401hz which is less than 2021 verision (19190hz), so, does it mean that iPad Pro 2022 display worse than 2021 version? But at 25% brightness or more, I saw your image shows the frequency goes to 20k, which is slightly higher than 2021 ver.

I'm quite confusing about the difference between the light-box image (which shows 6401hz) and the 25% brightness or more tested images (shows 20k=20000 hz).

Thanks for your reply.

Hi, I am going to Buy a new ipad pro, 2021 or 2022 models, I Use my ipad for reading and note taking for several hours. 🤓
So for me it's important to have device without PWM and Temporal Dithering.😵💫
You Test PWM for all devices but you just test TD for new Devices and Specific There is no test for 2021 ipads.😔
Can you Update your 2021 ipad pro with testing temporal dithering?🥺
The ipad pro 11 2022 model have TD so definitely i will not Buy it☠️
The 12.9 2022 doesn't have TD but have 6khz PWM it should not be problem for me.🙃
The 11 2021 Doesn't have PWM But there is no Information about TD🧐
The 12.9 2021 Have 20KHz PWM and it's ok because 20khz is enough high for me, But There is no Information about TD.🧐
Please do me a favor🥺, Test 2021 Ipad pro to see do they have TD or not, If it's Possible also test them before and after update Ipad OS Because I Read users that they get headache after update their ipad os, Looks like apple enable TD in new versions of ipad os for old ipad🤔
