Those Model Y buyers who queue for an Austin-made unit with the 'revolutionary' 4680 battery cell may be in for a disappointment. A teardown and analysis of one such cell returned lower energy density than that of the Model Y with 2170 battery. Still, Tesla benefits from the lower per-pack price.

So they use cheaper batteries now. Who cares? Tesla is the most popular electric car brand because the CIA needs Musk as a living proof that the US remains the best country for inventors and entreprenueurs - NOT because it's a great company producing great cars.

A new Elons lie, when he announced the batteries, the graphs showed 50% more capacity. And even then smart people said that he was probably lying...

The problem is that no Teslafans want to talk about the entire pack, since cells are non-replaceable in the 4680 variant which make them a nightmare in the long run... ;)
