The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone has turned up in a leaked CAD render, seemingly confirming the shape it's going to take. It has been rumored that the Galaxy S23 Ultra won't be much different in design to the Galaxy S22 Ultra; however, it seems there will at least be a flatter display to be enjoyed.

"In addition, the rounded corners have also apparently been squared off during the design transition from Galaxy S22 Ultra to Galaxy S23 Ultra..."

The S22 Ultra doesn'thave rounded corners!

I fail to see how eliminating the side curves of the screen is a good thing.

For all to enjoy......

Not all of us are basic hipsters. Some of us actually loved Samsung's curved screens.

I see they've hit that nexus where tossing out the millions who got them here seem like a stellar decision, but sadly the basic mobs are many.

They've lost too many features that not only I use, but make no sense to ditch considering their silly high MP cameras they're pushing, so good luck.

I really hope this is true. I enjoy the camera improvement every year, but what I have really wanted was a flatter display. The curved display always seemed like a waste to me. It's just dead space you can't use.

This might make me a basic hipster, but I don't understand the value of it.

Curved displays carry much more horizontal resolution width for their size compared to flats. This creates a zoom-in effect for the keyboard, making it bigger and much easier to use, less prone to typing errors. The visual information ending up on the curved sides of the display is neglectable in terms of usefulness for the user.
