Microsoft releases stable Android 12L update for Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2 with new features and improvements

Microsoft has made good on its promise to release Android 12L for the Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2. Available as a 3.2 GB download, the update brings many new features and changes for both devices, including Microsoft's Fluent design language.

I thought the surface duo was to get 3 years of both OS and security updates.  It was released in september 2020 so it should still get updates through september of next year.    or did i miss a memo?

My Update says Android 12. Is it different from Android 12L? I have the Surface Duo 2.
