Microsoft hat soeben das Surface Pro 9 offiziell vorgestellt. Das spannende Windows-Tablet mit optionaler Tastaturhülle und Stylus ist erstmals nicht mehr nur mit einem Intel-Prozessor erhältlich, sondern auch mit einem leistungsstarken ARM-Chip samt integriertem 5G-Modem.

Noch kein Surface Go 4.

Surface Pro 9:
- Offenbar immer noch spiegelndes Display.
- Immer noch kein tauschbarer Akku.
- Immer noch ein "Pro"-Computer auch mit Windows Home-Modellen.
- Vorinstallierte Crap- und Trialware.

Daher immer noch kein Kauf.

Die angegebene Akkulaufzeit von 15,5h bei Office-Nutzung und 150 nits könnte zutreffen, aber dies wäre das erste Mal, dass so eine Angabe von Microsoft zuträfe. Bisher ist der 1235U ein zweischneidiges Schwert. Tests müssen die Akkulaufzeit prüfen.

"Testing consisted of full battery discharge with a mixture of active use and modern standby. The active use portion consists of (1) a web browsing test accessing 8 popular websites over multiple open tabs, (2) a productivity test utilising Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, and (3) a portion of time with the device in use with idle applications. All settings were default except screen brightness was set to 150nits with Auto-Brightness and Adaptive Colour disabled"

for both SP8 and SP9. It gave 16 hours for SP8 and now gives 15.5 for SP9. No wonder as battery on SP8 is 51.5Wh and on SP9 47.7 Wh. I was really waiting for this announcement and now I'm pretty sure SP8 with discount is a better option. The fact that they moved USB ports to the left is downgrade for me.

NBC's WiFi test gave 7:36 for the Surface Pro 8. Therefore, your correlation indicates an awfully low battery life of the SP 9 while a 1230U could have enabled ca. 14:30 if implemented right.
