2nm Apple A18 processor reportedly scheduled to power the iPhone 17 Ultra

Since TSMC will only move to the novel and more complex GAAFET chip production technology for the 2nm node, Apple has reportedly started readying its test equipment for the A18 processor that will use the new method. The 2nm Apple A18 chip will allegedly first be used in the iPhone 17 series.

It should be the A19 that is 2nm not the A18. This year came the A16 so in 3 years it will be 16+3=19

Nominally, yes, but considering that there may be two years in a row with the 3nm A17... still, Apple may decide to do what it now does with the A16 which TSMC itself describes as "third major enhancement of TSMC's 5nm family," yet Apple goes with what the N4P process is called on paper, a 4nm chip :)
