Xiaomi Pad 5 receives Android 12 globally courtesy of MIUI 13.1 update

Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 12 to the Pad 5 outside China by way of MIUI 13.1. Available as V13.1.2.0.SKXEUXM, V13.1.1.0.SKXMIXM and V13.1.1.0.SKXINXM, the update is over a 3 GB download and carries the September 2022 set of security patches, among other changes.

Avoid this update on your Xiaomi Mi Pad 5

HDR problems are even worse as dark screens come from all sources. Including Netflix, Disney+, Streaming from NAS and even playing from local storage.
Dolby Vision is removed
Problems with resolution in games like pubg.
Icon placement is broken in portrait mode and landscape.
Widgets can't be resized
Annoying Google stream can't be removed.

If you can revert back to 13.0.6 A11. Much less problems.

Everyone writing update is available, but write about the problems with the update.

Xiaomi at their usual level with updates. I don't get it, this company makes great products, but completely fail to support them afterwards.

until now still a stable beta for global, so when will be officially stable?
lousy Xiaomi is always the last and worse release OS/firmware.. now is android 13, but Xiaomi still with android 12 and not even release a stable version
