The household wearables brand Fitbit has updated its support pages with new information that might point to greater integration with its new owner. The company now advises customers that some functions and uses of its devices will start to require that they are linked to a Google account. However, it assures users that this will result in no loss of privacy or control over how their data is used.

They'll use your data to train multi-modal NNs.  Without your express consent or even acknowledging that is the purpose.

It's the way of machine learning today.  Steal troves of data from humans without any concerns towards ownership of IP.

Then sell it back to us one token at a time.  Of course this data?

It'll be used to train the next generation of dexterous robots whose intent is nothing less than replacing its training set.
