A new Sony Xperia compact smartphone could be made available worldwide according to the latest rumors about the expected Sony Xperia Ace IV. Sony recently released the Xperia 5 IV, which it classed as a compact smartphone, despite the presence of a 6.1-inch display. A global model based on the Xperia Ace lineup would likely have a much smaller form.

Finally, FINALLY, some normal phone, for normal price, not "compact flagship". Who wants flagships, almost everytime wants also big display. And, no, it's not compact. It is NORMAL. Every other smartphone are overly huge.

semantics on what is a normal phone. from a personal perspective yes it seems to a proper normal phone, has the right size with good enough specs at a reasonable price. from a business perspective, no its not normal.

That would be about time – I'm fixin' to jump ship to an iphone mini of no Android under 6" (to be more exact, under 145mm overall length) is coming on the market.

What I don't get: why do all manufacturers think people long for a Me-Too product? Is a name really differentiator enough? What happened to good old USP, or UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION? Look at Mazda – not aiming to be a little bit of to everybody, they decided to be 100% to a defined group of drivers, and the target group as well as the motor press loves them.
