The very capable RTX 3070 Ti desktop graphics card from Nvidia, which was often sold at more than US$1,000 during the height of the GPU shortage, is finally on sale for a very reasonable price of US$599 at a well-known US retailer.

No.

The price was already unreasonable at launch. Compared to 3070, it is too high for too little speed increase and much too great TDP increase. I considered the 3070's much greater efficiency to be more attractive. Furthermore, almost 2 years after Ampere launch, the price ought to be below 80% MSRP, i.e., below $479 and one might start considering 3070TI if one does not have my objections to this card.

I agree. My 5700 XT was like half the price three years ago. For the same price, the 3070 Ti might be a reasonable upgrade. For $599, no way.

This card has two fans, one on the front and one on the back. Also, this is not a price drop, it's the launch MSRP.

So? This card wasn't available at MSRP in like forever. Saying that its actual price dropped is correct, but I'm still gonna wait for RTX 4070 instead..
