Dynabook has equipped the Portégé X30L with Intel's current Alder Lake processor. The magnesium case is extremely light at around 900 grams, which makes the business notebook an extremely mobile companion. However, the performance of the new processor falls short of expectations.

This laptop would have been amazing with AMD. Or even with Alderlake-U. It is incomprehensible to me why companies are cramming 45W processors into thin-and-light laptops.

Alderlake-P is a scourge and an instant deal breaker for anyone who wants to use a laptop as an actual mobile device.

Because they try to earn a few extra Euros from selling more expensive CPUs instead of fulfilling the needs of us endconsumers.

I will highly suggest you do the RETEST with WINDOWS 11 installed. The performance part is very misleading. As a hobby reseller of Dynabook in USA. X30L-K will performs far better if you test it under Windows 11. I tested my sample unit with 1260P/16G/512GB back in June. With Win10, it performs only 230/902 in Cinebench R15 but I got 250/1400 in Windows 11.

By the way, please kindly let me know where I could get a LTE model, thanks.
