Slated for a release in August, the new BYD Seal models are larger than the Model 3 and come with cell-to-chassis blade battery packs that offer longer range and better collision safety than Tesla's electric car. Above all, the BYD Seal is much cheaper, too, with its top-end model with 435-mile range costing as much as the base Model 3.

Sold out 5 months in advance.  Nobody ain't getting their Seal until 5 months later!  I found someone made an interior comparison of Tesla flagship vs BYD flagship.  My God the Telsa interior looks so primitive it sucks...  Like the back seat of Tesla has a cup holder instead of mini command center with LCD screen. The front apps screen is mostly fixed and immovable in the Tesla whereas can twist and rotate anyway you like in the BYD.  Only suckers buy Tesla (Apple iPhone) when BYD (Huawei smafo) offer 10x the better digicam experience!

Yawn... Another Tesla killer that still won't compete. What's the performance numbers and autopilot look like?

This article is full of factual errors.

e.g. lists the NEDC range that is complete nonsense. Divide it by 3/5 to get the real range that is comparable to a Tesla EPA range.

Warren buffet dumps byd shares, Tesla profits 1st quarter 2022 $3.3 billion, BYD like Apple v Xiaomi...not even close on profits.

Will this come to South Africa anytime soon. We a desperate for a decent and affordable EV here.

Trash

Huawei is trash dude. The SoC is old technology, not even 1/2 the performance of an iPhone.

Huawei's entire history is IP theft. They stole from Nortel, they stole from Cisco, they copy MacBook designs, typical unoriginal, uninspired junk without heart.

You can wear a black turtleneck, but it won't make you Steve Jobs.
