The Huawei Mate 50 series is set to debut shortly. Word from China has now revealed some important details of the flagship phones, with two notable takeaways being the reported presence of a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 4G and a Mate 50 X that will finally succeed the popular Mate 20X from 2018.

I would love a Mate 50... but I've had my Mate 20 Pro since the day it came out and the Mate 50 just isn't so much better that I could really consider the splurge. If I had money to burn, though... yes!
