Abbott has announced that its FreeStyle Libre 3 continuous glucose monitor (CGM) system has now been cleared by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company claims that the FreeStyle Libre 3 is the smallest and thinnest CGM in the world, with accurate blood glucose level measurements being made every minute.

Does the FreeStyle Libre 3 have an alarm like the FreeStyle 2?

I am so happy with Abbotts efforts with the FreeStyle Libre CGM systems.

$2300 is a lot if your insurance doesn't cover it!! I do wish this could be more affordable for type 1  people who truly need this!🥲

I think it is a shame that the US charges so much for this and refuses to cover it for diabetics who are not dying or in need of dialysis.  This monitor when used by MOST diabetes patients allow for more compliance with maintaining healthy levels as there is no pain involved.  most diabetics are NOT compliant due to having to stick their fingers...the long-term finger pain is excruciating!

Obrigada

The CGM devices are brilliant but unfortunately the packaging isn't. It has not been designed for people with disabilities. Getting to unscrew the top of the component is impossible and even my husband struggles with this. I have messaged Libre about the problem  but alas no response. This desperately needs re thinking.

I have emailed Abbott twice no responses.

Pssshhhh. IT WILL STILL FALL OFF! How about they just make it so you can put it on another part of your body! Please! This one better be able to go on your stomach. Great it's smaller, but is it affordable? Can I put in on multiple parts of my body? Will it stick better? It's probably No, No and No. Shame.
