Snapdragon 7 Gen 1: Alleged CPU benchmark numbers offer disappointment in spades

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is expected to be Qualcomm's answer to the supremely impressive MediaTek Dimensity 8100 and while one would expect the Qualcomm chipset to fall a bit short, early alleged benchmarks posit it as a total flop.

I remember similar low scores for very early benchmarks of what became 8 gen 1 etc there probably ran in a low power mode for testing

First of all SoCs come with a lot more than just a CPU today, especially when DMA, AI, GPU, and more can perform a lot of the processing tasks.  AI does most of the image processing today.   So let's see how fast all the other stuff is on this SoC.
