Huawei has already made a surprising and abrupt return to a first-gen design in its technically fifth-gen foldable phablet, the upcoming Mate Xs 2. Now, a display-industry leaker purports to spill its pricing ahead of its launch, as well as some specs that frankly fail to match up with the amount allegedly quoted.

TruthIsThere

I recall Huawei stating that from the first Fold introduction that future implementation of Fold's devices *will* see a substantial price drop as the tech matures.

Years later, though... again, Huawei gets caught lying and inflating its prices just like they haven't learned anything from their huge losses and sanctions.

I guess Huawei's pockets have to burn some more years until full restructuring dismantles its current (no) leadership.

Oh well!

Samsung got basically no competitor with multiple generations now in store. Maybe only vivo being close with 1500-1700euro price. But the same can be said about huawei tech as their folds looks more mature, with almost full thickness after being folded for camera sensors.
The same can be seen with tele cameras recently, besides samsung its hard to find good optical(or the likes) 10x zoom phone.
Innovation frozen.
