A Core i9-12900HK CPU combined with a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU with access to 16 GB of VRAM are more than powerful enough to run all current games smoothly on the Aero 16's 16:10 4K OLED display. The device also comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports.

most powerful processor yet, but this CPU is a joke in efficiency. in silent mode which limits CPU to 30W it's performance is less than half of 5800U at same power. funny thing is when given 115W of juice this intel heater is only about 50-60% faster than 5800U. what a waste of electricity...

In the US, this notebook and the less expensive XE4 model are available from and in stock at BestBuy.

Did Gigabyte waste expensive components by putting them in this awful chassis? Yes. However, Aero 16 is one of the few performance laptops capable of "true HDR".

IPS cannot do HDR due to lack of FALD. Other OLED laptops like Aero 15 are using last gen Samsung panels with lower brightness that exhibit color accuracy issues. 500-zone MiniLED on some windows laptops have not been properly tested in regards to HDR usage (not even by notebookcheck).

So if you are a creator or consumer of HDR10 and also need high-performance, the laptop choice is basically between Aero 16 and MacBook Pro. Unless other brands start using HDR panels.

Were the gaming benchmarks done in Gaming Mode? I believe that is the only way to get the full 105W TGP.

Disregard - Turbo Mode also gives the full 105W TGP.

Any updates on the screen gamut numbers? Are the strange numbers due to Win 11's handling of HDR or something?

Some other reviews have also reported strangely low numbers. Have always trusted the reviewers at notebookcheck on display reviews, and had hoped to see the color gamut reported here before making a move.

Screen of this laptop the worst solution for the eyes!

Creepy flicker due to 60Hz PWM below 58% in brightness (and these are the most working levels of brightness guys!), plus gloss with monstrous glare, plus pentile panel with real resolution is strongly lower in red and blue subchannels!

Moreover, it also also does not correspond to the norm for amoled in 1000000:1, instead trying to sell a panel with a shame contrast of 25-26 times worse!

Yes, and a funny keyboard from 14" models. For whom is it all done, Gigabyte?

Such decisions must be immediately sent under the caterpillars of the bulldozer ...

At the same time, this "miracle" morally outdated along the video card being even not even released! In 4K resolution it can not even provide playable FPS!

And noise like a plane! And the performance of 12900H SOC is simply shameful against the background of the speed of the younger 12700 in ASUS TUF 2022 with a much smaller noise!
