Lenovo has announced an upgraded ThinkPad P14s Gen 3 at MWC 2022. The company claims that the P14s Gen 3 is its lightest mobile workstation yet. Lenovo is also introducing the ThinkPad P16 i Gen 1, which could be thought of as a merger of the P15 and P17 series. Both workstations are powered by Intel Alder Lake-H CPUs and the Nvidia Quadro T550 GPU.

No media card reader?  WTF?

I believe it's necessary in order to have other things done right, like the return of RJ45, port alignment itself (everything essential on just one side of the laptop); battery improvements.
Never ever have I experienced a company do to 100% of things well - there's always a sacrifice.

Will be interesting to see whether they are completing the line-up of the p14s and 16i models with amd counterparts as they did last year for the p14s. Surely the new rdna igpu blows the t550 out of the water? Then again it might not (yet) be compatible with the ISV certs that are required for these p-thinkpads.

Are you sure about the H-series procs??
Looking at the previous gen it should be P-series processors.
