The 12th gen Core i9-12900H is approximately 30 percent faster than the average laptop or mini PC running on the competing Zen 3 Ryzen 9 5900HX. What Intel doesn't want you to know, however, is that the chipmaker had to up the power consumption by noticeable margins in order to outperform the AMD series.

Typical

As usual this Intel fanboy promotes Intel BS on article titles while trrying to post excuses in the article. He knows that titles is what people read.

Intel has proven itself that it will win the performance king and kick AMD to the curb. Well done intel! Can't wait for raptor lake to kill AMD 7000 series!!!

Simple conclusion:  Intel laptops will have much worse battery life than AMD laptops.  Unless you need the ultimate speed, AMD gives a better speed/power consumption tradeoff.  And coming 6900 will likely match or beat Intel performance, with lower consumption.  Yes, Intel sux.

Same trick AMD did with Bulldozer to compete with Ivy Bridge, ramp up the wattage to irrational levels.
