Android 13 DP1 on Google Pixel 6 allows running full Windows 11 and Doom in a VM with near-native performance

XDA Senior Member Danny Lin (@kdrag0n) has managed to get entire virtual machines running on the Google Pixel 6 with relative ease. This was possible due to the new KVM feature that is being introduced with Android 13. The developer could even run Windows 11 on ARM and even play the classic Doom game on the Pixel 6 with decent performance.

The number for sequential read (2874 - 3969 MB/s) is 200 - 275% of the max data rate of the UFS 3.1 spec (1450 MB/s per lane) so I would take some salt with these numbers but impressive nonetheless.

I hope the performance of windows on phones gets to the point where it would be a viable replacement for a basic work laptop. Dock the phone in a laptop shell for keyboard and mouse and perhaps a desktop dock with dedicated graphics card for gaming. I think there is a ton of potential for this approach.

Microsoft almost had it with Continuum on WM10 back in the day. But we all know how that went. :)
