Samsung admits that the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+ have nearly 5x higher minimum display refresh rates than advertised

Samsung has already changed its specification sheets for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22+, two of its latest flagship smartphones. Unfortunately, the pair do not support a 10-120 Hz variable refresh rate as Samsung advertises.

I gotta start by saying that I have been left behind by technology a while back.

Last thing I remember is that the higher the Hz the better as the refresh rate offers a better image quality and yada yada yada.

Could someone offer me some insight on why having it display at 10Hz is important?  I completely get that false advertisement should be frowned upon... but why do I need a 10Hz display for?

It's to keep the battery from unnecessarily draining while doing lighter tasks such as viewing static text on a screen and stuff. If the refresh rate were locked at 120 Hz then the battery life would take a tremendous hit as it has to refresh the screen more quickly than it needs to in some cases.

This is actually funny.

When iphone 13 out. Most of the time the screen only hovers around 70-80hz, while being advertised as 120.

Now, Samsung admitted their wrong for its screen still being to fast, when it was supposedly to go slow.

They have to reduce the price of the non-Ultra phones. Corners have to be cut. For example, the smallest S22 does not have Wifi 6E, and does not support 45W charging.

Just make a big fuss about it and demand a refund. Samsung is very afraid about having negative PR, it will appease you.
